Today, I installed my spider and web at the nature trail at Ferney Lee school (with the help of the caretaker and a mobile scaffolding unit). Here they are in situ.

Thank you both!
The spider is fab except that I don’t like spiders so it’s a bit spooky!! It reminds me of Louise Bougeois’s spiders which were at Tate Modern a while ago and were great as well. See http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/unilever.htm
Was this an inspiration?
Hi grumpyoldbookworm,
Thank you! I did look at Louise’s spiders, but the main inspiration was the site itself, as they teach ‘bug studies’. What a great subject title!
This is so nicely and well done, Kay!!!!!! She looks bushed!
Uh Uh UUUUU! Fab!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
This is great Carole! I especially love the photo shot with the bird table small in the background -she reminds me of Shelob from Lord of the Rings!
I agree… ‘Bug Studies’ sounds a lovely title! I bet your spider will get a few girly squeals!
Thank you all!
She did get a few squeals from the children, Julie!
