Soft fabric sculpture, child’s shoes. Stuffed with shredded documents. Created by drawing doll-like shapes, scaled up by hand, with no measuring, plotting or checking proportion. The result is a character with its own life, albeit not apparently a very happy one.
Carole – these look so vulnerable – yet also very disturbing…. The shoes give it life and add a touch of realism…. without the shoes I suspect they’d look cuddly – but the shoes…..

Yes, the shoes are really quite disturbing, aren’t they? I saw them and bought them without knowing what I was going to do with them. Then they turned out to fit this sculpture perfectly – spooky!
and this doll has a perfect name!
